Dripara Coffee was born in the most relatable way possible — two coffee snobs, one too many burnt cups, and a "why don't we just start our own?" moment.

From a kitchen conversation to a coffee company

Kelly and Lori Thompson are, by their own admission, full-blown coffee snobs. After years of settling for burnt, bitter, or just plain mediocre coffee, they went on a mission — searching for beans that were actually worth waking up for.

Somewhere in that search, the idea hit: why not start our own company? What started as a way to share great coffee with family and friends quickly grew into something more — a brand built on the belief that your morning cup should never be a disappointment.

Lori brings to Dripara the same grit she carried through years of military service, education, and entrepreneurship — a relentless "let's build something real" energy. Kelly brings the love of a truly great roast and the patience to find it. Together, they built Dripara to be exactly what they couldn't find anywhere else.

Why the sea turtle?

Because Lori just loves them — and sometimes that's reason enough. Sea turtles are ancient, resilient, and unbothered. They move through the world at their own pace, with quiet confidence and purpose. That felt right for a brand that's all about slowing down enough to enjoy something great, then going boldly back into the world. Bold. Steady. Always moving forward. That's the Dripara spirit.

The name
